Public comments taken on Denali road proposal

ANCHORAGE - Public comments are being taken for a proposed road project at Denali National Park and Preserve.

National Park Service officials say the proposal includes construction of a new road for shuttle bus access to a sled dog demonstration area.

The project also calls for new parking areas and a roof over the existing sled dog demonstration stands.

The public can comment through Jan. 22 on an environmental assessment document for the proposal.
