Appalled by governor's stance on benefits

Wow, I can't believe how narrow minded our new governor is. To fight so vehemently and spend state dollars to make sure that same-sex partners are not eligible for health benefits is outrageous!

Sound off on the important issues at

The wonderful population of Alaskans who currently reside in our prison system are eligible for health benefits, but the hardworking, honest citizens whose only "crime," as far as Palin is concerned, is their sexual orientation, can't receive these benefits? If someone were to refuse employment to an applicant solely because he or she were homosexual, that would be discrimination and would be illegal. Nevertheless, our newly elected governor has so little respect for the office she was voted into that she would fight to break the law?

I am not politically savvy, but I do know the difference between right and wrong, which apparently is not a prerequisite for running for office. I find it disgusting that the governor of Alaska is not only homophobic, but is using her position to push her beliefs on Alaskans.

"Liberty and justice for all" - unless you are homosexual.
