Juneau-Douglas High School band director Ken Guiher conducts JDHS graduates and students and local musicians during a "Tuba Christmas" performance on Tuesday in the State Office Building atrium. Players include Peter Anderegg, TJHovst, Jaime Young, Anja Axton, Maralee Guiher and Allan Young. Not visible are Kyle Savikko, Stephen Young and Gallen Heffern. "Tuba Christmas" is an annual, nationwide event coordinated by the Harvey Phillips Foundation of Bloomington, Ind., and was first held in 1974 in New York City.
