...for your contribution
On December 9, 2001, the Juneau Chapter of the Chief Petty Officer's Association held our 27th annual senior citizens dinner. This dinner is held every year during the Christmas holiday season to show our appreciation of the seniors in the community. This year we had over 300 of our local seniors who enjoyed a night of entertainment and traditional holiday dinner.
Our dinner would not have been successful without your generous contribution. The senior citizens and the Juneau Chief Petty Officer's Association would like to thank you for helping make this a special evening.

...for the effort
The Foundation for Hospice and Home Care of Juneau would like to take this opportunity to thank the people that coordinated the Music celebration of the life of Tim Wood on December 9, 2001. Buzz Ritter, Bob Banghart and Laura Lucas made arrangements with the Alaskan Bar and brought some long-time Juneau bands including Rockfish, the C Notes, the Natural Boys, Salsa Borealis, the Dot Tones and Mary Desmet and Greg Berger to entertain and help celebrate the life of Tim Wood. Over $1,400 was raised and contributed to Hospice and Home Care of Juneau.
Hospice and Home Care of Juneau helps individuals with a terminal illness prognosis with nursing care, medical social workers, occupational therapists, physical and speech therapists, health aid attendants, in-home volunteer support, medical equipment loans, consultation and spiritual support and referral and many other bereavement support services.
Again, thanks to all of you that participated and contributed.

...for the support
The 36 members of this season's JDHS Swimming and Diving team, their parents and coaches wish to thank the Juneau residents for their recent support of the team, with their purchase of a Christmas Tree from the team.
The proceeds from this fund-raiser are used directly to provide the student-athletes with competitive opportunities during the August through November season. With the assistance provided, the team will continue to strive to represent the community in a manner Juneau has come to expect -- namely, quality, sportsmanship and excellence.
Finally, the team would like to express their thanks to Fred Meyer's manager Fred Satre, Assistant Manager Steve Batch and Mike Flemmer.

...for all the help
One of our main goals at the South East Regional Resource Center's Adult education Center is to help GED and English as a Second Language (ESL) students achieve their academic goals. Because SERRC is a non-profit organization, we rely heavily on volunteer tutors and community support to help make our program a success. Because of this, we would like to sincerely thank those people in our community who have helped our students meet their academic goals over the last year. Special thanks go out to our volunteer tutors: Lindsay Bloom, Gwen Baluss, John Stinson, Dick Stokes, Kevin Buckland, Michael Mason, Louis Meats, Jennette Grossman and Firouz Mehrabad. We would also like to thank Silverbow Bakery, Gross Alaska Theaters, El Sombrero, Rainbow Foods and the Juneau Racquet Club for their continued donations and support to our program. Thank you.
