The Shrine of St. Therese Board wishes to express special thanks for the following individuals and companies who contributed to make the annual Endowment Evening on Nov. 1 a success. Appreciation begins with gratefulness to the Cathedral Parish for allowing the dinner-auction to be again held at this location. Right behind this is gratitude for our second-time-around volunteer chef, Maria Astra, who turned out a delicious beef dinner. Her main helping assistants were Ax Solanoy, Edgar Cabalhin, Matthew Grauman and John Erasmo. A gift of hospitable service was offered by the Catholic Youth and other volunteers who waited on tables; these were guided by Youth Ministry Director Jeremy Kerr and Lori Yorba.
For adding a very colorful atmosphere to the Cathedral Hall, thanks goes to Joan Kohake whose centerpieces this year, as in the past, were delightfully inviting. And thanks to Jun Ebron, who once again gifted us with his piano music talents. Lady Jane Mulready, who has been the volunteer auctioneer at the annual auction for several of the past years, again orchestrated the auction bidding like a pro, which she is. She was finely assisted by Sue Miller. Many others performed a variety of helpful tasks essential to making this a splendid evening: Laurie and John Logsdon, Claire Richardson, Lorenzo Jaravata, Cora Reece, Fran Kinney, Amy Witt, Mary Fitterer, Frank Jerue, Roxanne Kohler, Michelle Kerr, Janis Burns Buyarski, Sarah Rensel and Michael Dombkowski.
Auction donations - outcry and silent - were many and varied and the board would like to list them and thank them, because, without their contributions, there would have been no auction. Thanks to Western Auto, Budget Liquor, Martha's Flowers and Weddings, The Alaska Club, Fred's Auto, Duck Creek Market, the Breeze-In, Twisted Fish Company-Alaska Grill, Heritage Coffee, C&J Valley Restaurant, Nugget Alaskan Outfitter, Jovany's Italian Restaurant, Mark Kelly, Sid and Harold Heidersdorf, Erlinda Ferrer Gift Shop, Princess Cruises, Holland America Lines Westmark Hotels, Goldbelt Tours, Temsco Helicopters, Prospector Hotel, ERA Helicopters, Caribou Crossings, Snyders Merchantile, Barbara Eagle and Wings of Alaska.

In addition to the donors, the Shrine Board wants to thank each and every person who purchased one or more Shrine Endowment Dinner Tickets. Approximately 175 to 180 tickets were sold and about 155 persons attended the dinner.
Most people who live in Juneau visit the Shrine periodically, and the Shrine Board wants to encourage anyone who wants to come to the Shrine to do so frequently.
