Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:

Assaults:

At 9:13 p.m. Wednesday, a 38-year-old woman was arrested on assault charges after a domestic dispute in the Mendenhall Valley. She was lodged at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center.

Vandalism and criminal mischief:

At 3:41 p.m. Wednesday, a caller reported the windshield of a Subaru station wagon was broken on Vintage Blvd. overnight.

Vehicle accidents:

At 9:45 a.m. Wednesday, a 1997 Mercury sport utility vehicle driven by a 52-year-old woman rear-ended a 1990 Ford Taurus driven by a 23-year-old woman on Mendenhall Mall Road. The Mercury sustained $1,200 damage, and the Taurus sustained $5,000 damage. There were no injuries.

At 1:10 p.m. Wednesday, a 2000 Toyota truck operated by a 50-year-old male struck a 1993 Mack truck while trying to pass it on North Douglas Highway. The Mack truck sustained $5,000 damage and the Toyota sustained $2,000 to $3,000 damage.

At 12:49 a.m. this morning, a 44-year-old man was cited for driving too fast for road conditions after overturning his 1999 Ford pickup into a ditch on North Douglas Highway at Bonnie Brae. Officers estimated damage at $15,000 to the truck and $100 to two mailboxes that were struck. There were no injuries.

Other:

At 11:39 a.m. Wednesday, a caller reported misplacing her lavender cloth purse sometime on Dec. 22.

At 11:53 a.m. Wednesday, a caller reported losing his wallet over the weekend. The black leather trifold contained $1,000 cash and identification.

At 5:53 p.m. Wednesday, Coast Guard Station Juneau responded to a call of an overdue vessel. The 14-foot skiff, with one person aboard, had left Auke Bay for Admiralty Island at 7:30 a.m. and failed to return to Auke Bay at its expected time. The Coast Guard began a search for the vessel, but the boat returned under its own power after the foggy conditions lifted.

At 9:34 p.m. Wednesday, a woman brought a wallet she found on Merchant's Wharf to the police department. The wallet, belonging to a 33-year-old man, was placed into safekeeping pending contact with the owner.

At 10:39 p.m. Wednesday, a 31-year-old man was arrested on Douglas Highway on a warrant for failure to report to jail and failure to comply with probation conditions. He was lodged at the state prison.
