Eaglecrest Ski Area is presenting ski tactics workshops for adults this weekend with Olympic silver medalist Hilary Lindh.
The class will meet in the Eaglecrest lodge's mezzanine where group members' ski ability and goals will be assessed. The workshops' main focus will be how to ski varied terrain including mental readiness. The class will also cover skills and improvement.
Two separate classes are offered and a possible lower-level clinic is also in the works if there is enough interest.
The first class runs Saturday from 8:45 a.m. to noon with the second class beginning Sunday at 1 p.m. and running through 4:15 p.m. Cost is $50 with a season pass or $68 for those who need to purchase an all-day lift ticket.
Lindh was the 1992 silver medalist in the downhill at Albertville, France, as well as the 1997 world champion in the same event. She grew up in Juneau and now attends graduate school at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver.
