Be careful with personal information

This afternoon I received a request from "Key Bank" telling me that there were some questions about my account. They wanted to know my name, social security number, account number and password. The problem is, I don't have an account with Key Bank. When I checked to see where the inquiry came from, I was told that it was from Korea.

If I had given this information, whoever sent the message could have taken everything out of my account through identity theft. There are those who will steal whatever they can. Believe me. I know it from experience. People should never, ever give this kind of information to people. If their bank really needs this kind of information, I am sure the bank will contact them directly and not through some Internet connection.

Scam world has come to Juneau. Never give personal information to unknown others.
