AML adopts a cause

At this time each year Alaska Marine Lines in Juneau adopts a cause, collects funds and provides for the cause it adopts by purchasing essential items. In the past, it has been a family, but this year AML decided to adopt the Glory Hole by donating $2,200 worth of essential supplies. Shown above on an AML truck's liftgate is Ashley Bruce, Valerie Svendsen and Rafael Soto. With the help of Costco, AML was able to provide the following necessities: 115 pounds of ground beef, 100 pounds of ham, 100 pounds of turkey, 120 pounds of carrots, 380 pounds of potatoes, 106 pounds of spaghetti, 144 pounds of spaghetti sauce, 250 pounds of pinto beans, 250 pounds of white rice, 250 pounds of oatmeal, 36 cans of coffee, four boxes Lipton tea and 72 rolls of toilet tissue. Themajority of the donations come directly from our employees here in Juneau, as well as some of the company officers in Seattle, Ketchikan and Sitka.
