Man arrested on White Mountain pot charge
NOME - Alaska State Troopers in Nome say a man has been arrested for allegedly trying to smuggle marijuana into the village of White Mountain.
Jared Buffas was arrested Saturday afternoon.
Troopers say they received an anonymous tip that the 25-year-old man intended to bring marijuana into the village.
Buffas was arrested at a commercial airline. He was transported to Anvil Mountain Correctional Center where he was lodged with no bail.
