A wholehearted crowd turned out at Eaglecrest Ski Area on Tuesday to take full advantage of the Monday night's snowfall in the hope the fresh snow would provide more skiing prospects.
While the Black Bear, Hooter and Porcupine Chairs were able to operate, the Ptarmigan Chair was not able to open. Eagelcrest's website states the hardened portion of the Lower Nordic Trails was groomed on Tuesday for skating and classic skiing and that snowpack was still low there but conditions were improving.
