The Juneau Police Department arrested a 31-year-old man following a report of a domestic dispute in Switzer Village Trailer Park. Police say Juneau resident Mathew St. Clair was armed with a rifle and had threatened a 24-year-old Juneau resident.
JPD and a United States Forest Service officer responded to the area. Police believe that St. Clair assaulted the woman, broke a window out of a vehicle and shot a rifle within the trailer park. Police report that no one in the area was hurt by the gunshot.
The suspect was located by the Forest Service officer and arrested for assault, criminal mischief, misconduct involving weapons and criminal trespass. He was taken to Lemon Creek Correctional Center and held without bail. Police say alcohol was a factor, and they are investigating the incident.
