ANCHORAGE - Police are looking for a local hip-hop artist in connection with a shooting at an Anchorage home over the weekend.

Eighteen-year-old Johnathan Bindon is charged with assault, weapons misconduct and reckless endangerment in the shooting of another teenager in the chest Saturday afternoon.

The victim, 18-year-old Lydell Butler, was listed in satisfactory condition Monday at Providence Alaska Medical Center.

According to police, several people were in the house at the time of the shooting.

Police spokeswoman Anita Shell says there was an argument, a scuffle and then Bindon pulled a .22-caliber handgun and shot Butler.

Bindon, whose stage name is John Boii, fled from the scene with two young women, who later turned themselves in.
