Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:

Driving while intoxicated:

About 2:58 p.m. Friday, police spotted a vehicle in the ditch on Glacier Spur Road. They subsequently arrested Matthew Ballantine, 31, for drunken driving, driving with a revoked or suspended license, reckless endangerment and refusal to take a breath test. He was transported to and lodged at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center. The vehicle sustained $500 damage, was totaled and was impounded.

A 17-year-old male was arrested about 4:30 a.m. Saturday on Glacier Avenue for drunken driving and additionally charged with refusal to take a breath test. He was released to his parent. The vehicle was impounded.


Shortly before 9 p.m. Friday, a man, 63, was placed under citizen's arrest on Douglas Highway for assault and lodged at state prison.


Capital City Fire & Rescue responded to the report of a car fire at 1:53 p.m. Saturday in the inbound lane of Egan Drive near Salmon Creek. However, there was no fire.


Shortly before 6 p.m. Friday, a woman, 42, was arrested at Glacierview for harassment. Alcohol was involved in the incident. She was transported to and lodged at state prison.

Vandalism and criminal mischief:

About 9:44 a.m. Friday, a man, 56, reported his vehicle had been damaged while parked in the lot at Aurora Harbor. The vehicle appeared to have been scraped with a sharp object. It will need repainting.

About 9 p.m. Friday, police received a report from Dudley Street of Christmas light lines being cut.

About 10:47 p.m. Friday, a man, 36, was arrested on South Franklin Street for criminal trespass and additionally charged with failure to register on the sex offender registry. Police originally questioned the man because a witness spotted him rifling vehicles. He was lodged at state prison. Alcohol was involved in the incident.
