Stop judging others

Letter to the editor

I am so tired of hearing people talk about what God says. Like "God says this, God says that." This is the basic fact of it, people: God does not come in a religious form. Please put aside your ignorance when you try to lecture people about what God says. Especially in the opinion section of the paper. I respect the right to people's opinions and I'm sorry if this is offending anyone, but whether it is a Christian God, a Catholic God, a Muslim God and so on, each religion has different rules when it comes to going to Heaven or the greater place. Ultimately God will judge each person by how God sees fit.

Each one of you people who read from the religious books tell other people they are not going to Heaven if they don't follow those rules. Here is a thought just to ponder on - if anyone can answer this please do. Before white people came to the Americas, did Natives go to hell because they did not know of these ultimate rules? I don't think so. Don't get me wrong; I believe in God, but not in a religious form and I think that is exactly how the Natives believed. They knew there is a higher being, just not in one particular form.

So when you try and tell people they are not going to Heaven because your book says so, think about this. You are not the judge of people, so don't act like one.
