Juneau-Douglas swept the 4A portion of the Region V Track & Field Championships after the boys’ team held off upstart Thunder Mountain on Friday and Saturday at Thunder Mountain High School, while the Crimson Bear girls sprinted to the finish line.
The Juneau-Douglas boys finished first with 72 points, followed closely by Thunder Mountain’s 68. Ketchikan was third with 26.
JDHS won the girls’ meet with 90 points. Thunder Mountain was second with 57, and Ketchikan third with 22.
