Common login problems

In order to view our premium content, you must be logged in to your Press+ account, which can be created or purchased at juneauempire.com/allaccess. Click here to login to your Press+ account.

Like many web sites, we rely upon cookies to keep our subscribers logged in so they may view content. If there is a problem with these cookies, it can prevent you from accessing our content.

1) Your Press+ account and your juneauempire.com account are two different things. Only subscribers have access to the content on juneauempire.com. We use a company called Press+ to manage digital subscriber accounts. If you are an existing subscriber without a Press+ account or you would like to subscribe, click here.

2) Deleting your cookies will lock you out. Some users like to regularly clear their cookies. If you clear the cookies used on juneauempire.com, you will need to log in to your Press+ account again to regain access. Click here to login to your Press+ account. Once you're signed in, you should be able to access content on juneauempire.com.

It is possible that your browser is set to automatically clear your cookies when you exit it. You can check this using these steps.

Safari: Note: Currently, Safari does not support clearing your history when you exit. You can check if there are extensions installed that might be automatically clearing cookies. To check Safari for extensions that might be automatically clearing cookies:

  1. Mac: Select Safari » Preferences.
  2. PC: Select Edit or Tools » Preferences.
  3. Select the Extensions tab.
  4. The currently installed extensions will display.
  5. For assistance with the extensions, please contact the developer for the extension.
  6. Close the "Preferences" window.
  7. Close and restart your browser.

 

Google Chrome:

  1. Select Tools » Settings.
  2. Click Show advance settings.
  3. In "Privacy," select Content settings.
  4. In "Cookies," verify that the checkbox is unchecked for Clear cookies and other site and plug-in data when I close my browser.
  5. When you are done, close the Options - Under the Hood tab by selecting the X that displays on the tab.
  6. Close and restart your browser.

 

Mozilla Firefox:

  1. PC: Select Tools » Options.
  2. Mac: Select Firefox » Preferences.
  3. Select Privacy.
  4. Under "History", if it is set to "Use custom settings for history," uncheck the checkbox for Clear history when Firefox closes.
  5. Select OK.
  6. Close and restart your browser.

 

Microsoft Internet Explorer:

  1. Select Tools » Internet Options.
  2. Select the General tab.
  3. Under "Browsing History," uncheck the checkbox for Delete browsing history on exit.
  4. Select OK to close the "Internet Options" window.
  5. Close and restart your browser.

 

3) Your web browser must be willing to accept our cookies. If you have disabled all cookies, you will need to enable them to use juneauempire.com. If your browser does not accept third-party cookies, you will need to enable those. Instructions for popular browsers are below:

SAFARI (MAC)

  1. Click the "Safari" dropdown menu in the upper left hand corner and select "Preferences."
  2. Select the "Privacy" tab.
  3. Select "Never" under the "Block Cookies" tab.
  4. Close the open Privacy window.
  5. Refresh the page.

 

SAFARI (iPad)

  1. Touch the "Settings" icon.
  2. Select "Safari" from the list on the left.
  3. Select "Accept Cookies" and choose "Always."
  4. Close "Settings."
  5. Refresh the page.

 

CHROME (PC)

  1. Click the toolbar dropdown menu in the upper right hand corner and select "Settings."
  2. Select the "Show advanced settings" link at the bottom of the page.
  3. Click "Content Settings" under the Privacy tab.
  4. Unselect "Block third-party cookies and site data".
  5. Close all Settings windows and refresh the page.

 

FIREFOX (PC)

  1. Click the orange "Firefox" dropdown in the upper left hand corner. Select "Options" and select "Options" again. If you use a menu bar instead, select "Tools" and then "Options."
  2. Click on the "Privacy" tab.
  3. Select "Firefox will use custom settings for history" from the dropdown menu if it isn't already selected.
  4. Select "Accept third-party cookies."
  5. Select "Keep until they expire." (We select keeping cookies until they expire; you may opt for a different expiration.)
  6. Click "OK" and refresh the page.

 

INTERNET EXPLORER (PC)

  1. Click the gear icon in the upper right hand corner and select "Internet Options."
  2. Select the "Privacy" tab.
  3. Select "Advanced."
  4. Under the third-party cookies column, select "Accept."
  5. Click "OK" on all open Internet Settings windows.
  6. Refresh the page.

 

4) You're not sure about your Press+ login information. You can reset your account password by clicking on "Forgot Password?" in the signin window. Click here.
