Elizabeth Stickel and Daniel Minton wed March 24, 2012 at Brownsville Christian Church in Brownsville, Ore. A reception followed.
The bride is the daughter of Lorraine and Jack Sitckel of Juneau. She graduated from Juneau-Douglas High School and attended University of Alaska Southeast for undergraduate studies, Idaho State University for her MBA and University of Oregon to earn a PhD. She is currently a PhD student in marketing, as well as a researcher and instructor.
The groom is the son of Kathy and Dan Minton of Boone, NC. He graduated from Pensacola Christian Academy in Pensacola, Fla. and attended Appalachian State University in North Carolina and University of Florida for undergraduate studies and University of Oregon for his Masters where he is earning a masters degree, while employed as a Headstart school instructional aide.
The bride was attended by her parents, maid or honor and cousin Glenna Hallinan, cousin Jamie Myers and sister-in-law Laurel Meadows. The flower girls were Kate and Callie Stickel of Juneau.
The groom was attended by the best man and father of the groom Dan Minton, Michael Meadows, and brother of the bride Dan Stickel of Juneau.
The couple currently reside in Oregon, but hope to make their home in Juneau. He proposed to her at the Mendenhall Glacier and the couple honeymooned in Seward, where they enjoyed snowshoeing and peace in the backcountry.
