Jaymee Leanne Pitt and Myles Stephen Kiefer wed Oct. 6, 2012 at the Juneau Yacht Club with a reception following.

The bride is the daughter of Misty and David Haynes of Juneau and Gary and Audrey Pitt of Kenai. She graduated from Nikiski High School in Nikiski and attended Penn Foster College. She is employed with AJ Mine Gastuneau Mill Tours in Juneau.

The groom is the son of Stephanie and Brad Kiefer of Juneau. He graduated from Juneau-Douglas High School and is a Private First Class in the United States Marine Corps, stationed in Pendleton, Calif.

The couple met in seventh grade at Floyd Dryden Middle School and he “knew she was the one.” He proposed at Echo Cove in March while on leave after graduating boot camp. They will make their home at Fort Pendleton.
