Johnson, Jakeman wed

Bernadette Johnson and John Jakeman will wed July 2 in Kailua, Hawaii.

The prospective bride is the daughter of Susan Wanberg of Ketchikan and Edwin Johnson of Juneau. She attended Willamette University in Salem, Ore. where she earned a bachelor’s degree in chemistry, and the University of New Mexico, where she earned her pharmacy doctorate. She is employed with the University of New Mexico College of Pharmacy as an assistant professor.

The prospective groom is the son of Jane Davis and Anthony Jakeman of O’Connor, ACT, Australia. He attended Australian National University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree and a doctorate in mathematics. He is a postdoctoral associate with Sandia National Laboratories.
