Hahnlen, Elliott wed

Jessica Hahnlen and Will Elliott wed July 14, 2013 at the bride’s parents’ farm in Washington, with a reception following at their home.

The bride is the daughter of Donna and Bruce Hahnlen, formerly of Juneau. She graduated from Juneau-Douglas High School and attended the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, Wash. She is employed as a silkscreen design artist in Sacramento, Calif.

The groom is the son of Marian and Dan Elliott of Wasilla. He graduated from Wasilla High School and attended the University of Puget Sound. He recently completed a six-year teaching fellowship at UC Davis, where he is pursuing a Ph.D. in English.

Sister of the bride Jillian Hahnlen served as maid of honor and Jordan Divis of Wasilla served as best man. The couple received the Catholic nuptial blessing the day following the rite of marriage, officiated by Rev. Daniel Barnett.

The couple, sharing a passion for outdoor adventure, make their home in Sacramento.
