Shawnee Cassandra Good and Lawrence Jackson “Jack” Perkins were wed Aug. 14, 2015, at Le Petit Chateau in Bozeman, Montana, where a reception followed.
The bride is the daughter of Mark and Faye Good of Herriman, Utah, formerly of Juneau.
The groom is the son of Joseph and Laurie Perkins of Douglas.
The wedding was officiated by Tess Jones.
Emily Johnson served as maid of honor. Emily and Shawnee played soccer together in Juneau and were best friends since fifth grade.
Sister of the groom Lindsay Perkins served as a bridesmaid along with Jourdyn Aiken. Jourdyn was Shawnee’s roommate at the University of Montana.
Matthew Lehrbach served as best man. The groomsmen were Thomas Tajon and Colton Good, brother of the bride. Jack played football with Matthew and Thomas while attending Juneau-Douglas High School.
The bride graduated from JDHS and later the University of Montana in 2014 with a degree in exercise science. She is currently working on her doctorate in physical therapy at the University of Pittsburgh.
The groom also graduated from JDHS and in 2014 graduated with a degree in civil engineering from Montana State University. He is currently working on his master’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Illinois.
Shawnee and Jack often crossed paths while growing up in Juneau, particularly on sports fields where Shawnee played soccer and Jack played football. They became good friends at JDHS in Ms. Gervais’ Calculus class and have been together as a couple ever since.
The couple is honeymooning in Italy and will make their home in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, following Jack’s graduation with his master’s degree this December.
