Eaglecrest Ski Area will officially open Saturday for business.
“Our snowmaking team put in a ton of hard work during a short 65-hour weather window, and now it’s time to enjoy the fruits of their labor,” said Charlie Herrington, Eaglecrest marketing manager, in a press release.
The announcement comes after the ski area pushed back opening day last weekend due to warm weather conditions. Workers spent the weekend blowing snow using a record amount of snowblowing guns for Eaglecrest.
Early season conditions will be in place, with snow cover limited to the Muskeg trail on the Porcupine Chairlift. The trail will be open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Discounted ticket prices will be in effect: $10 lift tickets, $10 equipment rentals and $20 lessons (limited availability).
The Eaglecrest Grill will also be open starting at 8:30 a.m.
Weather models suggest it will snow the next few days. View updated mountain conditions and view live webcams for Eaglecrest at www.skieaglecrest.com/conditions.
