Eaglecrest Ski Area is now accepting applicants for the Hilary Lindh Scholarship.
Four finalists will receive a complimentary season pass, and all applicants will receive a free rental and lesson package. Applicants must be a resident of the City and Borough of Juneau and attend a Juneau School District school or equivalent.
There are two different applications for students: one for those enrolled in kindergarten through fourth grade and one for fifth through 12th graders. One boy and one girl will be chosen from each age group.
The selection committee will judge applicants based on competitive spirit and athletic ability. The scholarship is open to Juneau students with an interest in skiing and snowboarding.
The Eaglecrest Board of Directors established the scholarship program in recognition of the 1992 Olympic silver medalist. Eaglecrest’s opening day is scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 1.
