In the upcoming municipal election I’m happy to support Paul Kelly for the District 1 Assembly seat. Kelly has the right combination of motivation, personality and experience to serve our community.
I worked with Kelly as co-chair of the advocacy group Yes on Two Juneau, in support of the effort to repair school roofs, improve our most important parks and repair critical streets. I found him to be very easy to work with. He has a calm demeanor and a collaborative approach to problem solving. Kelly especially contributed his knowledge of the school district infrastructure process and his organizational abilities. I really appreciated Kelly’s ability to look forward and to understand that wise investments bring good solutions for Juneau that are important for decades to come.
His experience with strategic planning will be an important asset for the Assembly. He also has important experience in the law-making process at the state level and has served on multiple committees of the Juneau school board at the local level.
Kelly is a strong advocate for improving Juneau and is a genuine listener who cares about our neighbors throughout the community. As an assembly member he will look for ways to better involve all of us as citizens in the process. Please join me in voting for him or Assembly.
