Juneau needs new leadership

Because none of the three members of Juneau’s legislative delegation are running for re-election in November, it is really important to elect new people who can hit the ground running and make a positive difference for Juneau’s future.

District 33 has a great opportunity to elect such a person to the State House. I have known Chris Dimond my entire life both in school and working alongside him in the construction trades. Chris’ main reason for running is to promote more jobs, specifically more family-wage jobs for Juneau. I think that is exactly what Juneau needs now.

For the past couple of years Chris has spent many hours in the Capitol building advocating for jobs, and already knows many legislators. Chris is very energetic and well liked on both sides of the political aisle. Chris is running as an independent so would be very well positioned to be an outstanding Juneau legislator, no matter what party is in power.

Over the next few months, I hope residents of District 33 get to know Chris and then vote for him in November.
