It is less than a month until CBJ property taxes are due. The city tells you that bills can be paid online…but here is a word of caution.
You may register with InvoiceCloud online and get an email telling you that your registration was successful. You may then get a payment confirmation letter from InvoiceCloud telling you that your payment has been successfully processed. Then, several days after the due date, you may receive a notice that your bill was not paid — due to an error in your registration.
It happened to me, so beware. It is an expensive mistake. The safest way to guarantee that your bill is paid is to hand a check to the cashier at City Hall on or before the due date and get a receipt.
