With the State of Alaska facing billions of dollars in budget shortfalls over the next several years, it makes sense to keep Cathy Muñoz in office, with her many years of experience, and not put a novice in her legislative seat.
As a Republican, she is in the majority and serves on the powerful House Finance Committee, which is important for getting funding for Juneau. A new legislator would not get a position of power, especially being in the minority.
Cathy is bipartisan when she votes; she makes her own decisions, not the Republican party. She also is a team member with our two Juneau Democratic legislators and works well with them. I voted early and I voted for Cathy, not the novice.
