Tom Boutin’s My Turn column praised Nick Begich. However, he left out an important fact. Begich has declared his support for a person for president who is:
• A convicted felon.
• A man indicted for stealing government nuclear secrets and obstructing justice to cover it up.
• A man who, when he lost an election, incited a mob to try to overthrow the government so he could stay in power. That mob became a group of cop killers that, if elected, he says he will pardon.
Begich is also an election denier even though there is zero proof of election fraud. Over 60 court cases found no evidence of election tampering. The nation’s top election security official under Trump, Christopher Krebs, refuted Trump’s unsubstantiated claims of electoral fraud.
Begich’s support for Trump means he lacks judgment and would represent Trump’s interests and not Alaska’s.
