We are small business owners in Juneau and know that rank choice voting is good for business. Alaska is unique in having an overwhelming percentage of registered voters undeclared or independent. This is an undeniable statement of dissatisfaction with “party politics.” In fact, 63% of Americans express not too much or no confidence in the future of the U.S. political system. RCV is a good platform for making campaigning more civil, less partisan, and will create a lasting and sustainable economic environment in the state by continuing to give Alaskans a chance to vote for their beliefs, and to elect leaders who are interested in stable governance to promote all of our businesses.
