We support Karen Crane for mayor.
We have watched and worked with her on the Assembly, from 2010 to 2016, and have appreciated her values, responsiveness, attentive listening, willingness to grapple with complexities, courage, stamina, and reasonableness. Karen has been part of the forces of reason on the Assembly, even when those were in the minority. Consistent with her openness and sense of responsibility, she has been one of the Assembly members who regularly explain on the record the reasoning underlying their votes, which makes government less mystifying to the public.
We are grateful that she is willing to make the additional huge commitment to our community that being mayor will entail, and we hope you will consider voting for her.
