We support Andi Story for House
We have lived in Juneau for more than 40 years, most all of those in the Mendenhall Valley. When looking for a candidate to represent the Valley in the Alaska House of Representatives, we do not simply vote along party lines but we vote for the candidate who represents our values and has “earned” our respect.
I am a retired state employee with 31 years of service, and many of these were working with the Alaska Legislature presenting Department of Natural Resources budgets and legislation. My wife Susan has worked for many different organizations, including the U.S. Forest Service, the Juneau Convention and Visitor Bureau, Alaska Department of Labor and Southeast Regional Resource Center, and is a vocational counselor.
We know that Andi Story is an enormously hardworking person for whatever she believes in. Her dedication to the Juneau community is impressive and after listening to several candidates’ forums we believe her to be the best candidate for the position. Story is a doer and a listener who also has the skills to work with people of opposing views to reach consensus. She is a coalition builder and that is why she has our vote.
