I would like to strongly encourage the citizens of Juneau to support funding for a new JACC building for health reasons. I know several people, including myself, who have missed special occasions — wakes, retirement parties, art shows, food festivals, etc. — due to allergies that are exacerbated by the air quality in the present building. I understand not everyone has allergies, but I do know that the air quality in the present JACC building does affect everyone and will only get worse as the building ages. Please support funding of a new JACC building for the health of all.
I believe it is a good investment for the entire community and something we can take pride in for years to come.
Look at the opposition to the Whale Project/Overstreet Park and now how much the area is used and appreciated — that was vision. Let’s show our support for the vision of a new JACC building when you go to vote.
