I read the article by Mr. Fargnoli, and I agree with him that the residents of Juneau should not be placed in a high-risk situation.

What could be the motivation behind a decision to do something like this?
Could it be money, or are we just being nice to the tour companies?
I would hope that Mr. Watt and Mayor Beth Weldon will meet the ship, go aboard and shake hands with the captain and every crew member before presenting them with a key to our city, of course, this should be done with no protective mask or gloves.
These vessels should be anchored off our shores and subjected to a federal inspection by our government rather than the Philippines. That would ease my fears somewhat.
