In the past month, the Trump administration has cut over $200 million from teen pregnancy prevention programs. Alongside their effort to repeal Medicaid expansion and defund Planned Parenthood, it is clear that their goal is to attack access to affordable health care and health education.
Our communities rely on these programs to ensure everyone has the ability to choose the care that is best for them, and these cuts do nothing but harm women and those who want to prevent pregnancies.
I thank Planned Parenthood for all they do: protecting affordable health care and individuals’ right to choose, providing accurate and comprehensive health education and ensuring access to high-quality care in a safe setting. Attacks on Planned Parenthood are attacks on Alaskans’ access to health care and we cannot allow this to continue.
Call on U.S. Sens. Lisa Murkowski and Dan Sullivan to stay strong and stand up for health care.
