Thank you to U.S. Sen. Lisa Murkowski, R-Alaska, for recognizing the threat to Alaska that the U.S. Senate proposal to repeal the Affordable Care Act poses.
As a young person in Alaska, I am incredibly worried about a future where we are unable to afford necessary care and people have to leave our state in order to have access to the care they need. We need sensible solutions to health care that work to lower costs for those who need assistance and increase quality and access for all.
Voting for cuts to Medicaid and defunding Planned Parenthood while decreasing taxes on the wealthy is not acceptable, and U.S. Sen. Dan Sullivan, R-Alaska, should be ashamed that he has endangered the health and future of Alaskans by voting for repeal.
