Advent luncheon scheduled

The Cooperative Church Council is sponsoring its annual Advent Luncheon at Northern Light United Church on Thursday, Dec. 7 at noon. Father Stephen from Saint Nicolas Russian Church will be the speaker and will share traditions and beliefs of an orthodox Christmas. Christmas carols will be the music focus.

A lunch of homemade soups, breads and holiday cookies will be served at no cost. Donations for the lunch go to the Glory Hole.

The luncheon is also a time for reflection and fellowship. For more information, call 586-3131 or 586-9562.
