Alaska Seaplanes names cargo manager

Tegan McCarty has stepped into a new role at Alaska Seaplanes and will lead the company’s freight operations as its first cargo manager.

“We’re delighted to have Tegan leading our Cargo operations system wide from our base in Juneau,” said Carl Ramseth, General Manager for Alaska Seaplanes. “Tegan knows her way around airplanes and has experience both working on the ramp and also in the dispatch office. Customer service is her passion — she knows how to meet the needs of people living in the communities we serve.”

Said McCarty about her new role: “I’m ready to grow with this new role and look forward to meeting our customer’s needs working together with some amazing coworkers not just in Juneau, but in each of the communities we serve.”

Alaska Seaplanes serves 11 destinations in Southeast Alaska. The company is owned by former Wings of Alaska managers Mike Stedman and Kent Craford, and in five years the company has grown from a four airplane floatplane operation to a 13 airplane wheel and float operation offering scheduled flights, charters and flightseeing.
