Alaska Communications and Boys and Girls Clubs of Alaska are partnering for the “Summer of Heroes” scholarship program. The program awards young Alaskans with $1,500 scholarships through the UA College Savings Plan.
Winners will be recognized at a ceremony at the Alaska State Fair in August. A hero can be any youth, ages 6 to 18, who has made a significant contribution to his or her community through acts of kindness, bravery or success.
