On June 10, members of the 297th Military Police Company Detachment 1, along with fellow Alaska National Guard members and the U.S. Coast Guard, participated in a canned food drive to benefit the Southeast Alaska Food Bank in Juneau. The Army Guard was located at Super Bear and the Coast Guard was located at Foodland downtown. The Army Guard collected 1,241 pounds and the Coast Guard collected 1,100 pounds; a total of 2,835 pounds of food were collected, thanks to all the folks who donated.
