ATA registered shoot results

On a rainy Juneau day, seven members of the Juneau Gun Club participated in a scheduled ATA Registered Shoot. Six shot while one member, “Bud” Burnett, huddled in raingear under an umbrella and scored the entire event.

Event one, singles, six participants, 53 degrees, hard rain; B class: Hank Masters, 92/100, class winner; Mal Menzies, 87/100 and Jay Davis, 74/100.

C class: Wayne Bertholl, 93/100, event winner; Mer’Chant Thompson, 92/100 and Fred Wilson, 89/100.

Event two, handicap, six participants, 56 degrees, hard rain and moderate wind, mid-yardage; Hank Masters, 91/100, event winner; Mal Menzies, 75/100 and Jay Davis, 73/100. Short yardage: Fred Wilson, 89/100, class winner; Mer’Chant Thompson, 87/100 and Wayne Bertholl, 78/100.

Event three, doubles, four participants, 58 degrees, rain to light rain; C class: Wayne Bertholl, 83/100, event winner; Fred Wilson, 77/100; Mer’Chant Thompson, 71/100 and Mal Menzies, 67/100.

High over-all: Fred Wilson, 255/300.

Runner-up: Wayne Bertholl, 254/300.
