Calling all performance artists! Juneau Dance Theatre seeks individuals and groups to audition for Juneau’s Got Talent, a competition in which a panel of judges and the audience will determine the winner.
JDT welcomes singers, dancers, poets, jugglers, musicians, actors – all kinds of performance artists – to audition on Saturday, Feb. 6 at the JDT studio. All ages welcome. JDT will be looking for family friendly acts to compete at the main event on March 12 at the Juneau Arts and Cultural Center. Register to audition online at www.juneaudance.org.
Video submissions will also be accepted via juneaudance@gci.net. Each act should be a maximum length of 2-3 minutes. There is a $20 application fee per act. Juneau’s Got Talent will feature a soon-to-be-announced panel of celebrity judges and event MC Sharon Gaiptman, host of KINY’s Capital Chat and founder of Gaiptman Communications.
Winners of the show receive cash prizes, publicity and an opportunity to perform onstage at JDT’s Spring Series, April 29 – May 1 at Thunder Mountain High School.
All proceeds from Juneau’s Got Talent will support JDT programs and outreach efforts in the community.
Auditions for Juneau’s Got Talent will take place at Juneau Dance Theatre (8420 Airport Blvd, Suite 202): Saturday, Feb. 6, 3:30-5:30 p.m.
Juneau’s Got Talent will take place at the Juneau Arts and Cultural Center (350 Whittier St, #101): Saturday, March 12, 7-9 p.m.
