AWARE chooses 2016 Women of Distinction honorees

On March 5, AWARE will hold their 20th annual Women of Distinction Gala and will honor Marie Darlin, Justine Muench, Missouri Smyth and Kristi West. Each will give a short speech on what inspires them.

Community members nominated women who they thought made significant differences in the lives of women and children in Juneau; next, the AWARE board of directors selects based upon the nominations. This year, the AWARE board reviewed nearly 20 applications of women.
