AWARE’s Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Advocacy Training begins Monday, Feb. 1 and ends Feb. 14, taking place on evenings and weekends at AWARE.
The training is for people who work with women and/or children who have experienced trauma, abuse or mistreatment, as well as for students or anyone interested in seeking to understand modern feminism and social health. In this 40-hour training, participants will increase their understanding of domestic violence and sexual assault, how to support survivors and learn the many ways they can assist their community in decreasing these issues.
Training has a suggested $25 donation but should not be barrier for those who wish to participate. For more information or to register, call AWARE at 586-6623.
