Bartlett Regional Hospital Foundation directors, staff and volunteers thank Allen Marine for its generous support of the Foundation’s annual Wildlife Cruise on Saturday, June 10. Captain Tally and her capable crew, Jill, Erin, Naomi, Hannah and charter coordinators Sharon and Lennie were fantastic to work with.
The cruise was a great success and there was abundant wildlife. We saw Steller sea lions and many humpback whales. The best viewing, however, was humpback whales bubble net feeding. What a treat. Fun fact: the average sized humpback whale will eat between 2-3 tons of plankton, krill and small schooling fish every day during feeding season.
We enjoyed a wonderful day on the water. Bartlett Foundation is very appreciative and thankful for Allen Marine’s continued generosity and contribution in support of our fundraising efforts to provide resources to enhance and support quality health care for Bartlett Regional Hospital.
