Chamber Music Night returns for 14th year

Juneau Strings Ensembles will presents its 14th annual Chamber Music Night at Northern Light United Church on Saturday, March 5 at 7 p.m.

Juneau students, from kindergarteners to high school seniors, will perform from groups Aurora Strings, Ursa Minor and the Crimson Quartet. These groups will be joined by Sixteen Strings Quartet, Little Dipper Strings and Mini-Fiddlers. The groups will present a variety of classical, folk and contemporary music. Audience members can “Hoe-Down” with Copland, travel to the “West Side” with Bernstein, journey “Under the World” with Orpheus and fly to a galaxy far, far away with “Star Wars.” Additionally, guest soloist Lisa Ibias, the Juneau Symphony concertmaster, will accompany Aurora Strings.
