The final film of the Climate Action Film Series, “Time to Choose,” is showing at 4:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 20, and 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 21, at the Gold Town Theatre.
Oscar-winning documentary filmmaker Charles Ferguson addresses global climate change and examines the power of solutions already available through interviews with entrepreneurs, innovators and ordinary people. The film, global in scope, is narrated by actor Oscar Issac.
The film is “a dreadfully beautiful achievement,” according to Variety. The San Francisco Chronicle said, “We can feel the fragility of the planet, but also its power to heal — if only we give it a chance.”
According to Elaine Schroeder, the film series’ organizer, “Climate change is the biggest challenge humanity has ever faced. ‘Time to Choose’ helps us understand not only what is wrong, but what needs to be done to fix it. The good news is that renewable energy has now become economically competitive with fossil fuels.”
