Community Impact Grant application period open

United Way of Southeast Alaska is now accepting Community Impact Grant applications. Up to $15,000 in Community Impact money will be awarded to applicants that successfully apply for needs relating to health, education, or income stability. Grants that involve collaboration, matching funds, and the presence of a clearly stated, focused, and achievable goal with measurable outcomes are preferable. Funds may not exceed $2,500 for any individual award. Funds can be used to pay salaries, purchase materials, or pay for outreach. However, funds cannot be used to pay for overhead costs such as rent or utilities.

Grant applications are available on United Way of Southeast Alaska’s website at www.unitedwayseak.org/content/2016-community-impact-grant. This is a competitive grant application process for the 2016/2017 year. Applications are not limited to United Way of Southeast Alaska partner agencies. Applicants may collaborate with United Way partner agencies or other non-profit entities.

All applications are welcome. The agency prefers electronic submissions no later than 4 p.m. June 30. The application forms can be submitted electronically. Electronic submissions should be sent to the attention of Sara Truitt, Resource Development Director at staff@unitedwayseak.org.

Applications received by United Way of Southeast Alaska after the deadline will not be considered. Applications may be submitted electronically, by mail or in person. If mailing hard copies, please submit completed applications to: United Way of Southeast Alaska Community Impact Committee, 3225 Hospital Drive #106, Juneau, Alaska 99801.
