Starting Wednesday, dance groups looking forward to next year’s Celebration can apply to participate in the annual event.
Celebration runs from June 6-9, 2018, and from now until March 30, dance groups can send in their applications online. On April 2, the Celebration Committee will review all of the applications and groups will be selected based on that review. Groups then mush submit their dancer waivers and fees ($10 per person ages 8 and up) by May 1.
On the applications, dance groups must name a Dance Group Leader and supply his or her contact information. They also must describe their dance group, list their drummers and the songs they plan to perform.
The group description should include pertinent information such as a mission statement, the group’s history or the composition of the group. Groups also must include a list of members, in Microsoft Excel format.
