If you know of a deserving youth who has a positive impact on their community and could also use some money for college, nominate them for the Summer of Heroes scholarship. The five young Alaskans chosen from the nominees for this award, ages 6-18, will receive $1,500. The July 15 deadline is swiftly approaching.
Summer of Heroes is an annual partnership between Boy & Girls Clubs — Alaska and Alaska Communications. Their goal is support youth development programs throughout the state.
